On 16th October 2017, His Holiness The Dalai Lama launched the Universal Ethics Education curriculum at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

His wise words - “ It is his conviction that education is the key to changing people’s way of thinking and we need to improve the current education system by introducing instructions on ways to cultivate positive emotions like warm-heartedness. Relying on religious tradition won’t appeal to everyone. We need a more universal approach based on common experience, common sense and scientific findings”.

Just talking about money and power won’t work. Much more important is encouraging a sense of the oneness of humanity, a sense that we all belong to one human family.

“We need Universal Ethics Education because when we look at our classrooms, they are diverse. Like we don’t have people from one background, one religion, or societies. So, to teach them ethics, we should have a standardized plan first. Therefore, we need this universal ethics education so that we have a standardized plan that we can follow to inculcate the principles that are good for all of us and for the students as well.”

Over the years I have realised that there is a gap in the education system. Many schools emphasis on developing IQ, but they don’t apply much focus on EQ and AQ. With the support of AGN, I started an online school called “Blooming Budz” in January, 2023, to teach them subjects which are not included in the curriculum. My sincere appreciation and gratitude for the invaluable work that your organisation is doing in promoting and implementing universal ethics education in schools across India. The impact you have made in empowering young minds and fostering a culture of ethical awareness, is immeasurable. I wish you all the very best to your dedicated mission
