Our Journey

2013

This day marked the birth of the organization’s vision.

2014

Under the leadership of Late Shri Kulbhushan Bakshi, the roadmap and preparation of Curriculum, Pedagogy for “Ethical and Value Based Education” was organized at Gandhi Peace Foundation, New Delhi.

2015

First ‘Training of Trainers’ was organized at Meerut with Ven. Prof Samdhong Rinpoche & Ven. Geshe Ngawang Samten to discuss the Importance of Ethical Education in Indian perspective.

2015

Orientation of Master Trainers on concepts of Universal Ethics, Mindfulness, and Compassion was conducted throughout the year.

2016

Workshops were conducted with teachers from different schools to develop Curriculum, Framework, Facilitator’s guide and Pedagogical methodologies.

2017

On 16th October 2017, His Holiness The Dalai Lama launched the Universal Ethics Education curriculum at Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. His wise words – “ It is his conviction that education is the key to changing people’s way of thinking and we need to improve the current education system by introducing instructions on ways to cultivate positive emotions like warm-heartedness. Relying on religious tradition won’t appeal to everyone. We need a more universal approach based on common experience, common sense and scientific findings”.

2017

His Holiness the Dalai Lama with members of the Core Committee working on the Curriculum for Universal Values in New Delhi, India on April 28, 2017. Addressing the committee, His Holiness said “Many problems we face today arise from a failure to use our basic human nature and intelligence properly. We have to look into how to educate people. Just talking about money and power won’t work. Much more important is encouraging a sense of the oneness of humanity, a sense that we all belong to one human family.”

2018

First sensitization workshop on Universal Ethics Education was conducted with teachers of New Era School, Jhansi and thereafter in all 10 schools in different states of India as a pilot

2019

In presence of His Holiness The Dalai Lama, the Hindi edition of secondary curriculum and teacher’s manual was launched in April, 2019.

2020

AyurGyan Nyas conducted online sensitization and capacity building sessions with parents, students and teachers from partner schools when the whole world came to a stand still and online classes became a new normal during COVID-19 pandemic.

2021

Launch of Pre- primary & Primary curriculum in August, 2021 by Geshe Dorji Damdul, Director Tibet House New Delhi.

2021

In 2021, AyurGyan Nyas in collaboration with Tong-Len Trust, introduced its pre-primary and primary class curriculum in 73 schools in Kaza region in Spiti valley, Himachal Pradesh and also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Himachal Pradesh Government.

2022

In 2022, UEE curriculum was introduced in communities and child care institution to children and adolescents impacted by trauma, social inequalities and poverty with an aim to impart necessary life skills to promote their positive development.
